Alicia Borja
Alicia “Ali” Borja, combat veteran turned filmmaker. She is the founder and president of Desert Waves Film Festival and a pursuer of all things creative. She acted alongside Morgan Freeman and Sonequa Martin-Green in the film My Dead Friend Zoe (2025). She has also produced/directed her own short film, Airmen, showcasing the humanity behind being a soldier. Outside of her projects, she is an advocate for the art and film community and uses her podcast “The Unclassified Podcast” as a platform to highlight and showcase the amazing creatives in Las Vegas, NV. If she’s not on a set or in a studio you can find her on a hiking trail or in a cafe since she is a lover of nature and food.
