Sylvia Diaz

I’m Sylvia Diaz, a full-time student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas—UNLV—where I’m majoring in Film. I’m not just a student; I’m a REBEL with a passion for storytelling. Besides my film major, I’m pursuing a minor in Music Technology, merging my love for film with a natural talent for sound design. Additionally, I’ve earned a certification in Digital Multimedia and Television Production, enhancing my proficiency in visual storytelling. Originally from Wasco, Ca. I made Las Vegas my home in 2011, drawn to its vibrant energy and endless opportunities. As a Navy veteran, I bring discipline, dedication, and a strong work ethic to my pursuits in film and production. In addition to my experiences, I am also a licensed commercial truck driver, showcasing my versatility and commitment to excellence. When I’m not immersed in the world of film and production, you can find me exploring new destinations, drawing inspiration from the world around me. I’m thrilled to be part of the Nevada Women’s Film Festival, where I contribute to celebrating and empowering women in the film industry.
