Panel Event

The Other Hollywood

The Adult Film Industry has been called "The Other Hollywood.” Just like mainstream moviemaking, women have built long-lasting careers working in the adult business. This panel challenges common assumptions and stereotypes regarding porn and the people that make it. Our panelists have filled a wide variety of roles like directing, producing, post-production and performing, often wearing more than one of those hats on any given day. History has shown time and time again that porn leads the way for new distribution models for mainstream movie making. We'll discuss where the industry is going as an increasing number of performers are also making their own content and finding many independent avenues of distribution, completely disrupting the current model. The women on the panel cover many different decades and facets of the industry and all offer unique perspectives.
