Synopsis
For 11 year old Mia, the world of gymnastics is her safe-haven, but after noticing the development of an overly-close relationship between her teammate and her coach, she suspects foul play. With the help of her unfailing mood ring, Mia must decipher the truth of his intentions.

Rebecca Gauci
Rebecca is a writer / director based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Having completed a Bachelor of Film & Television (Honours) at Swinburne University in 2019 under a Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Scholarship, Rebecca has been able to hone her craft and further explore her desire to tell women’s stories. Learning gymnastics at a young age and training in classical ballet for 17 years, Rebecca constantly finds herself being drawn to explorations of movement and motion, a concept that extends to her filmmaking. Her graduate film ’Special’ which she wrote and directed has earned her the ARRI Australia ‘Best Director’ Award at The Swinburne Industry Screening and is currently screening on the festival circuit.
