Cottonmouth by Ama N. Anane | NWFFest 2026
It was a wonderful experience to be part of the Nevada Women’s Film Festival. The communication from the festival team was clear, timely, and very supportive throughout the process. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and the opportunity to connect with other filmmakers. This festival creates a meaningful platform for diverse voices and powerful storytelling, and it is evident that great care is put into curating and supporting the selected films.
Really LOVED the Nevada Women’s Film Festival! It was one of the best festival experiences we’ve ever had. The staff and Founder, Nikki Corda have created something quite special. Programming was entertaining and thoughtful ranging from comedic to sorrowful. Kickin’ it with the filmmakers was soooo fun too and the swag bag was so considerate. If your film fits the criteria I encourage joining to support and submitting.
We were honored to have our film THE ROAD TO LILITH selected for this years NWFF. Thank you to all behind this incredible festival and congratulations to all the filmmakers.
We are very grateful to our first festival for giving space to our voice, welcoming us warmly, and guiding us throughout according to their needs.
Nevada Women’s Film Festival really went above and beyond! As a short film Official Selection with TONGUE IN CHEEK, I felt cared for, respected, seen and appreciated. The UNLV theaters were absolutely perfect! The design from the balloons, to the pink carpet, to the pamphlet was organized. The communication from the Board of Directors were very top tier, Kelsie is an amazing point person. Watching my film on the big screen and hearing the laughs around is such a memorable moment on my journey. Thank you NWFFest for believing in us and allowing for the amplification of Black women storytelling, the allyship is necessary and important and I felt that.
I met so many wonderful filmmakers at this festival and there was a real sense of community! Thank you so much NWFFest for your commitment to presenting an array of women’s films, I truly enjoyed my time with everyone here.
This festival is so well organized and everyone is delightful.
Their communication is great. I really enjoyed the virtual aspect included with the live events. Thank you for selecting Guardian and for inviting me to be part of the Q&A after the festival screening! We met a lot of fantastic filmmakers this year and we can’t wait to attend in person next time!
Nevada Women’s Film Fest was so much fun and very well run! Our short musical comedy ‘Catalogue of Noses’ got a lotta love, particularly from program director Nikki! Plus, we were honoured to be nominated for an award in a very tough category.
Thank you Nikki and team for a lovely festival experience! Organization, communication, and events were all wonderful, congrats on a successful fest. I’m so thrilled to be included with so many talented filmmakers!
This was one of the best festivals I’ve been to. The team from top to bottom were so lovely and kind! Very professional and on time! They made everyone feel right at home and the way they present your film lets you know how much they appreciate the art and hard work that you put into completing a project! I will always submit to this film festival when I have a project that qualifies and will send others their way!
My family and cast had such a lovely experience as well! We won Best student film for our project Kool-Aid Stand and that was just icing on the cake!
Special thank you to all involved and Nikki who is just walking sunshine!

It was such an honour for our film ‘Dandelion’ to be selected to this awesome festival that celebrates women’s stories. Despite not being able to attend in person we were kept well informed and given lots of opportunities to take part virtually. Thanks everyone at NWFFest!

Wonderful festival experience from start to finish! THE RIVER was proud to be amongst such thoughtful, daring, funny, moving, inspiring films and filmmakers. We are thrilled that our short film “I Think It’s Broken” was selected for inclusion in the NWFFest. Excellent communication and professionalism! Can’t wait to submit again! Thank you so much for including us!
I love NWFFest!!! The staff makes your entire team feel like their work is valued, and you can tell that love went into planning every phase of the event. The staff is so d*** lovable, and they take the time to get to know each filmmaker by name, which isn’t very common at festivals nowadays. I appreciate NWFFest because they appreciate us! Thank you, NWFFest!
Nevada Women’s Film Festival had really exceptional organization and communication. I wish I could have attended in person and I greatly appreciate that they made panels available remotely. I really recommend this festival and it’s on my short list to go in person in the future whether I have a film screening or not. The team really cares about filmmakers and provides a ton of value and great informational panels.
This festival and its team are amazing! Everyone was so kind, encouraging and talented. You all are a gift to us filmmakers. Thank you so much!
It was a great event. I will attend in the future.
Such a welcoming and beautiful festival! Everyone was super kind and communicative, lots of opportunities to meet fellow filmmakers, and everyone here was really passionate and talented. Can’t wait for next year.
Great filmmakers, professional and welcoming. I’d apply to this festival again! Thanks for the opportunity.
After traveling to many festivals all over the country, I’m still so glad that we premiered at NWFFest. It was the best atmosphere. I loved how the blocks were curated so shorts and features shared the same block. I think it really opened up for more people to see more of a cross section of films. I made great contacts there with other filmmakers that have helped throughout this process. Such a great weekend in so many ways.
I have been fortunate to attend this festival both as a filmmaker and as an audience member, and to witness firsthand how it has grown and how their adept and indefatigable staff and volunteers have approached each new year, building upon previous years’ successes, and in turn fostering an inclusive and enriching setting for filmmakers and film lovers to gather, experience and discuss representation in new works and to champion the full span that is women’s varied perspectives.
